JULES AND RACH TAKE BELLINGHAM

One of my best friends, Rachel, came up for a visit and I am so happy she did. Rachel was my roommate for fall quarter at UW this year, which was super unexpected but turned out to be one of the best things to happen to us! She has quickly become one of my good friends and I am so glad she had the opportunity to come up and see this little corner of the world I call home. Everyone meet Rachel:

Yesterday, Rachel and I went to Fairhaven to check out a local succulent shop and I grabbed a couple succulents to gift to my sister since she wanted some plants for her room. Then we headed to the mall to do a little shopping. I got a trendy hat (which I’m SO excited about and you all will get to see soon!) and a couple tops; she picked up a few tops and some blush pink ear muffs. We also got matching calendar clip-boards to help us plan and be more successful (hopefully ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) in the new year!

Later on, we stopped at Woods Coffee, one of my favorite parts about Bellingham, and did a major planning session, which of course lead to getting side-tracked on Pinterest! Warming up with some Woods coffee was much needed since it happened to be a pretty windy and rainy day outside, even with some occasional snow(!).

After our coffee stop, I took Rachel to meet my family (mainly my pups) and they loved her. Bella was very excited to have another person to give her attention and, of course, Gunner was happy because that meant we could have a much needed snuggle session.

Up next, blog post planning: aka a hurricane hits the room. There was clothing EVERYWHERE, but it was productive and I now have some great blog posts coming up– thanks to Rach for helping me plan and organize! Honestly, she has been one of the biggest supporters of me while I learn all about the blogging world and what I should be doing, so I am very thankful for her help.

Today, we went to brunch at a quaint local resturaunt, Mt. Bakery. Mt. Bakery is a small resturaunt that is known as a brunch spot since it is only open until 3pm each day. My favorite thing to get is their eggs benedict. It’s delicious and gluten free! It is one of my all time favorite places to eat, so I had to take Rachel there for brunch today.

Once we were in a food coma, Rachel and I went to Fairhaven to scope out some cute spots for a new post I am working on! We had so much fun taking pictures and walking around the area. We also went downtown to snap a few quick photos. It was cold and windy, but we made the best of it and managed to get some great pictures! I can’t wait to show y’all what we were up to! Have a wonderful day!
